Claire holds a BA Hons in Counselling & Psychotherapy from ICHAS. She also holds a Diploma in Couples & Family Therapy from The Centre of Excellence.

Claire is a Person Centered Therapist offering clients Empathy, Congruence & Unconditional Positive Regard following on the teachings of Carl Rogers. She is also an Integrative Therapist and uses a variety of approaches depending on what best suits each individual client. These range from Gestalt (empty chair technique), CBT, Mindfulness and Motivational Therapy. The untimely death of her youngest child in 2004 has led to her specializing in the area of Bereavement, Grief & Loss, including Pet Grief.

Claire also works with couples who are experiencing difficulties in their relationship and helps them to manage various issues including communication and listening skills. She teaches them how to improve these skills and the importance of developing emotional intelligence and makes a point of stressing that therapy is non-judgmental.

Clients are offered a safe and confidential space to explore whatever it is that has presented itself for healing. She believes in the importance of the Therapeutic Relationship where Trust, Confidentiality are present and the Client feels understood and listened to. Claire abides by the Code of Ethics as laid down by IACP and APCP. She has many years of experience in helping people with the following:
